“Success is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as in the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed“. Booker T. Washington
Dr. Thomas Sowell
In his “Thomas Sowell Reader”, Dr. Sowell wrote more than 10 years ago, in 2011,
“… [It is not] surprising that academic work is so readily abandoned for social experiments, ideological crusades, and psychological manipulations by educators whose own academic performances have long been shown to be substandard.”
* In 2020 and 2021, nothing has changed: think CRT, anti-racism racism, gender identity, critical pedagogy, and the advent of white privilege.
LT. Governor Mark Robinson
Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s F.A.C.T.S. Report opens up a window onto those social experiments, ideological indoctrination, and psychological manipulations by teachers and administrators in NC schools, including Guilford County.
Trust me, trust us, to instill that New Vision to take our schools into a New Direction! We will take back our schools!
Two years ago, I moved to High Point, NC, from the State of Maryland. I officially retired at the end of 2019, having worked for the Federal Government and for companies with contracts with the Government for approximately forty (40) years. I am a graduate of George Mason University, Annandale, VA with a degree in Business Administration. I am also a graduate of Duke University School of Law, Durham, NC. As an attorney for the Federal Government, I practiced administrative and Federal contract law. During the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, I started a home-based business/consultancy.
I am a member of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina. I serve on the Executive Advisory Council for the Remarkable Speakers Bureau, Greensboro, NC.
I am an enrolled member of the Piscataway Conoy Indian Tribe, Charles County, MD, which is a subtribe of the Delaware. I have family in Jamestown, NC, Lawndale, NC, in the States of Pennsylvania and Ohio, and throughout the State of Maryland.
I am tired of being told that I know nothing about racism or even about how to succeed and prosper in this country! And this by twenty-year old somethings whose brains are still developing!
NEW VISION NEW DIRECTION
We need a new vision for our schools that is a vision of academic excellence and superiority. We need a new direction that takes us away from lies, divisiveness, hatred, and envy, especially envy! We need to:
Increase student outcomes & safety
Increase parental involvement & honor parental rights
Support teachers & administrators too afraid to speak out
Increase financial accountability & transparency
Eliminate political agendas & activism
Investigate & eradicate CRT and SEL
*** ATTENTION PARENTS ***
You are and always will be your child’s first teacher!
You only turned your child over to public schools to continue their education!
You did not give your child over to the State to do whatever it wants!
You have every right to know what your child is being taught and how your child is being treated in schools!
Stand up, ask questions, and fight for your child’s future!
Social experiments, ideological crusades, and psychological manipulations have no place in our school system!
Politics have no place in schools!
Demand strong academic standards!
Demand a school system that turns out educated kids, brilliant kids, and successful kids!
Vote for me for the at-large seat for the Guilford County Board of Education.
